What is The 99?
The 99 is a social network built exclusively for California's Central Valley. Connect with your community across 18 Valley cities including Modesto, Fresno, Stockton, Bakersfield, Manteca, Turlock, and more. Share photos, post stories, and message friends.
How do I create an account?
Download The 99 from the App Store, then sign up using your Apple ID for the fastest experience, or create an account with your email address. Choose your Central Valley city to see local content.
Is The 99 free?
Yes! The 99 is completely free to download and use. We're currently in beta and all features are available at no cost.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account, go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your profile, posts, and all associated data. You can also email us at info@derekfairfield.com to request account deletion.
How do I report inappropriate content?
Tap the three dots (•••) on any post or profile and select "Report." Choose the reason for your report and submit. Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours. For urgent issues, email us directly.
What cities are included in The 99?
We cover 18 Central Valley cities: Oakdale, Manteca, Turlock, Escalon, Ripon, Linden, Madera, Merced, Ceres, Lodi, Galt, Elk Grove, Modesto, Fresno, Stockton, Bakersfield, Visalia, and Hanford.
How do Stories work?
Stories are photos or videos that disappear after 24 hours. Tap the camera icon or your profile circle to add a story. Swipe through friends' stories by tapping the circles at the top of your feed.
